Informed by decades of experience acting as an external investigator across Canada, Sarah’s investigations are objective, independent, procedurally fair and completed promptly and efficiently. Sarah is noted for her sensitive and caring approach that allows all parties to feel that their perspectives have been heard and considered.

Sarah’s significant experience litigating cases involving investigations and advising organizations on investigation design, documentation, privilege issues and writing effective reports, allows her to serve as a particularly effective workplace investigator.

Sarah also provides guidance and support for internal workplace investigators and in-house counsel who are conducting or supervising internal workplace investigations.  Sarah’s thirty years of experience in tailored investigation design and implementation ensures your internal investigation is appropriate, fair and defensible.

Sarah regularly teaches seminars on conducting effective workplace investigations.  She has trained human resources professionals, managers, and external and in-house lawyers to conduct workplace investigations, in workplaces, organizations and in law firms. She has also served as an instructor for Lexpert’s Conducting Effective Workplace Investigations program and at Osgoode Professional Development Programs. Sarah also taught Employment Law at Western University’s Faculty of Law. She is a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators.

Training

Sarah has extensive experience conducting engaging and effective training and coaching programs for Boards of Directors, executives, managers, human resources professionals, in-house and external counsel, and employees. She has conducted training virtually and in person – including on set for television and film productions, on plant floors between shifts, in hospital board rooms, and in leading financial institutions.

Sarah works closely with organizations to create a custom training or coaching program to address specific needs and is mindful of company culture. Sarah has conducted one on one coaching for all levels of leadership including the C-suite, actors, and production executives.

Sarah has trained human resources professionals and external and in-house lawyers to conduct workplace investigations in seminars in workplaces, organizations and in law firms. She has also served as an instructor for Lexpert’s Conducting Effective Workplace Investigations program and at Osgoode Professional Development Programs. Sarah also taught Employment Law at Western University’s Faculty of Law.  She is a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI).
